Franklin Hatchett teaches eCom Hacks. Franklin Hatchett's straightforward, straight-forward teaching style will be something you'll notice immediately. One of the great things about this course is the fact that Franklin actually gives you examples from real life, rather than just telling you what you should do.

Franklin is a dropshipper who has been around since 2009 and has established himself as an authority on the business.

Franklin's uniqueness is something I admire. Investing in a course like this takes a lot of time and money. Franklin Hatchett presents the welcome video for eCom Elites members. He quickly explains who he is, where he came from (in case you didn't recognize the accent, he's from New Zealand) and then goes on to explain why the eCom Elites course differs from other online courses.

Franklin promises that he believes that value for money is important and that the course will make you more money. Right now, it feels like we are off to a great beginning...

Franklin begins with a bold statement. "Welcome, to the best money-making course online." "I'll be honest, I'm skeptical about this. Other courses can cost as much as 10 times as much. Can this course possibly offer the same value as a high-end program?

Franklin clearly states that this course is intended for those who are just beginning their e-commerce journey. Dropshippers with more experience might find some of the content confusing.

This is an excellent introduction to dropshipping for beginners.

This module is a basic introduction to dropshipping. You probably already know the basics of dropshipping if this is your chosen business model. Franklin doesn't tell you what to expect from the course. Instead, he encourages you to not have unrealistic expectations or to expect to become a millionaire any time soon. Remember that success takes time. )

Although you might think spending four and a quarter hours on Products and Research seems excessive, it is not. Franklin shares great tips for finding hot products. Because he demonstrates different methods and gives practical examples, the module is quite long.

Franklin also showed real, practical examples of how he found products using the various apps and websites he uses. He doesn't just tell where to go or what to do but actually shows how to get there. It's great!

If you wanted me to slip in some names of websites and software tools he uses ....sorry. It is worth your time to read this module and see how a true dropshipping pro does their product research. These are some of the best tips I have ever seen, and they don't appear in other courses.

Shopify beginners will find this module invaluable. You can skip most of the information if you have already set up your store and feel comfortable. This is pretty basic information and Franklin doesn’t give any shocking Shopify Setup tips.

Module 2: What can you expect?

You won't be surprised to learn that Big Daddy Facebook required two modules and a staggering 10+ hours of work to complete. Modules 3 and 4 are filled with detailed information about how Facebook can be used to increase sales. These modules together make up the longest section, and it's probably the most important.

These modules will show you Franklin's successful methods in Facebook marketing. He covers:

Franklin again takes the time to not only explain but also to show exactly what to do using hands-on, concrete examples. Although this module is not easy to use and takes a while to complete, it is very worthwhile. This course is the most detailed I've seen on Facebook ads. That's a big deal. )

Franklin's approach is conservative, so those with a good understanding of FB marketing should not be surprised if they don’t learn anything.

This is a bonus. This is a bonus. Many Shopify gurus will refer to Instagram but not go into detail. Franklin is a rare exception in this field, which is why we love him so much.This module teaches you how to:

We're still talking about topics that other courses don’t cover. This module has it all!
There are many courses that will show you how to optimize Shopify's store for ease-of-use and content, but none of them will cover how to drive additional traffic to your site from Instagram or Facebook.

Franklin shows you how to drive organic traffic (aka free) to your store in this Module. Although this is a good introduction to organic Google traffic, it lacks the details. This topic deserves its own course. It is not a short module of just 90 minutes with eight videos. Although there are many finer aspects of the Google Algorithm, Franklin deserves credit for including them in the course.

Franklin shares valuable insider information that has worked well for him and warns you about the dangers of email marketing. This will save you time and prevent you from learning by trial and error.

Franklin, a New Zealander shares his views on tax and business issues in New Zealand. While the principles are generally the same around the globe, it is best to consult an accountant to clarify the taxes that you must pay. Video 3 "Business 101" is a worthwhile addition to the course. Most other courses don’t even mention taxes, but it is a NZ-based point-of view.

Franklin offers many other techniques, but they are not enough to justify the price. He also shows you how to use these bonus methods. These great tips, especially the ones regarding warranties and building fan pages, will give you an edge over other Shopify start ups.

This is another great module from Franklin. Although most of the course videos were made in 2017, Franklin thought ahead far enough to make provision for the ever-changing internet, and this module was born. (He has also subsequently released an updated 2019 version).

Because Facebook continually updates and improves, it only makes sense that your Facebook campaigns should also adapt and evolve.

This module presents updated videos explaining new methods that you'll be able to use to keep pace with the times. As a member, you will always have access to these updates as they happen. This is a great added bonus, as many courses give you the course content and, well...that's that. Eventually, without any updated information, you'd find it extremely difficult to adapt to the changes that are constantly being made to Facebook, Shopify, Google, Instagram etc. 

The great thing about this module is that members will constantly get updated content based on the latest trends and methods. You won't be left to your own devices to try to figure things out as they change.

This is a great addition for members, and an invaluable resource for Shopify new students. Franklin is a great example of a teacher who will go above and beyond to ensure that their students get the best value for their money.

The Weekly Videos module basically includes Q&A sessions. Franklin answers questions that have been asked by students on a wide range of topics that cover topics from being banned from FB Adwords to spying on Flippa sites. (And if you don't know what any of this means, you will by the time you get to this module!)

The video quality on these videos are not quite up to the same standard as the rest of the course, but it's the content that's most important anyway. But if you're looking for specific information related to your issue, it might be a waste of time sifting through and these videos, so they should really be seen as supplementary. What they do offer is some valuable added insight into some of the problems encountered by students of the course.

Will this course make me a successful dropshipper?

As with any training, eCom Elites results will differ from person to person. Success all depends on what you put in...But just to give you an idea of what's possible, one of Franklin's most successful students has made over $3 million with his Shopify Store. He has a very successful YouTube channel with over 177, 000 subscribers--if you check out some of the eCom Elites YouTube reviews, many are positive--and uploads weekly videos offering advice and insights into the e-commerce world.

At the time of writing this review, he already has hundreds of videos on his channel, which have amassed almost a whopping 18,000,000 views in total. Based on that alone, Franklin appears to be a respected authority when it comes to dropshipping.

So the question inevitably becomes: with so many free videos and resources out there (and the cost of the course at only $197), is the course really worthwhile?

The answer is a definite yes.
Despite the course being released in 2017 with some updates in 2019, eCom Elites in 2020 is still very relevant and the information given will enable you to build a successful online business. At only $197, it really is a steal at this price, offering unparalleled value for your money.

The $197 STANDARD course is a great starter pack.

On the other hand, $297 ULTIMATE option has been updated for 2019. eCom Elites Ultimate focuses a lot on clickfunnels, covers Google Ads and also includes two of Franklin's books.

Both courses are worth the money and the time you will spend on them. 

But be forewarned: As Franklin categorically states - this is not a get-rich-quick-scheme. Having a Shopify store using the dropshipping method is a full-time job that requires commitment and hard work in order for it to succeed. Once again, success takes time...

So if you are absolutely hellbent on starting a dropshipping business, this is great news for you!

eCom Elites has been voted the best dropshipping course. It's jam-packed with information, which I found very appealing. This course is a great way to get into the market.

It's quite comparable to eCom Hacks, I'd say.
It is great to see courses offer a lot of value for money. eCom Elites is a great example of this.

However, I have personally experienced how easy it can be to spend $5k on testing FB ads. (Even if you do it conservatively, like Franklin does).

Dropshipping may seem cheap but it is not a low-cost business. It isn't.

The course's low cost is not without its drawbacks.

I'm sure I didn't...

IMO, eCom Elites low price tag attracted many people with a poor mentality to the group.

Problem is that penny pinchers will always want more. They'll take an inch and want more . You will be bombarded with whining from members of the group who want results but don't do any work. Or requests for advice on every aspect of life because they need someone to do it all for them. Sometimes, I wondered if they actually completed the course material.

Although it may not seem like much, it is vital to have a supportive community. People who are driven, go-getters and hard-working. You will be supported, inspired, and helped when you are stuck. Together, you will succeed. You'll miss out on huge benefits if all you have are lazy complainers.

Franklin also believes in being conservative when it comes to ad spending. He believes that slow and steady wins. The problem is that FB manual bidding does the exact opposite. It's a race. You can cash in faster if your ads get seen by the right people.

It seems tedious to wait for data to be processed and adjusted for several days, especially when there are low returns.

Franklin was thorough in explaining the business steps, but he was a bit slow at times. Jared Goetz of eCom Hacks is more successful and approaches aggressive spending when necessary. It's okay to take calculated risks, but it's worthwhile.

Jared's course costs $3K more, but that's still a small price to pay compared to the ad expenses associated with running a business like this.

I like the people in his program a lot better than I thought, so I put eCom Hacks #1.

This is something I cannot stress enough: The large component of community is .

I think that a large part of why there is a strong community at eCom Hacks is because of the high price of the program. This kept a lot people with a poor mentality from the group.

Despite the appeal of online courses, I do not agree with the practice of selling them at low prices. A coach should charge his course according the value that they believe they are delivering. This will attract people who want to get value and not the cheapest.

As humans, we tend to consider something more valuable if it costs more. Do you think you will treat a $10 coffee cup the same way as your mother's fine china? You don't want to get slapped upside the head.

This is why I see more motivated students in eCom Hacks.

This is a $3K investment versus a bargain-bin $297 for eCom Elites.

The group dynamic within eCom Hacks can be very powerful. Contagious, even.

Be cautious and mindful of the people you surround yourself with.

Winners surround their self with winners. This is why mentoring is so important for successful businesspeople all over the globe.

I would rather be surrounded with winners than be left in the dustbin of a bunch of snobs.

I also feel Jared's weekly calls, and the ongoing support in the group, are better.

These are my top "gripes" about eCom Elites.

Dropshipping: The Problem I Have

You can't afford to not spend money every day to get your ad seen on Facebook because you rely on Facebook ads.

This means that you are losing money if your conversion rate is not high enough.

You may find yourself searching for that perfect ad every day, the one that will put you in a positive mood for the day. Don't limit yourself to one product. It is best to sell products that are currently in fashion. Dropshipping doesn't work if people aren't interested in the product. You need to find a product with the potential for virality in order to get the high conversions everyone wants. This will ensure that your ads convert well enough to keep you afloat.

Facebook ads costs have risen steadily over the years and the margin has become smaller and smaller.

Problem is, most dropshipping "geniuses" out there will post their revenue online, but they won't reveal how much profit they made. Dropshipping isn't stable and doesn't last very long.

Shopify stores can be taken out of business in a matter of hours.

Dropshipping isn't as passive as you might think. Dropshipping is not an easy business model. You need to constantly find new products, open new stores, test new ads and continue making money.

Dropshipping is a popular career choice for young people. Dropshipping is a low-cost way to make a profit, as you don't have to purchase products upfront. However, I haven't seen much beyond a quick buck from this business model. It doesn't make it a viable business that can earn you a living.

This is also why dropshippers are trying to sell courses. Dropshipping could prove to be a long-term burnout, although I may be wrong. It wouldn't surprise me if they stopped being active in dropshipping and focused on passive income through selling their knowledge via their online courses.

Digital marketing is the smarter choice, as it is increasing in demand and provides real value.
