Herbalife: Legit or Pyramid Scheme

Herbalife is a multi-level marketing company Selling is the core of our business. Supplements for the diet Herbalife was established in 1980. It is well-known in part because of its popularity. Jim Rohn.

Another one of the making money online business that is focused on selling saturated members. This membership supposedly makes money by selling high-priced products.

It is promoted by people who offer every incentive to you to join the business or purchase products from them.

Although it is supposed to teach you how to be a Jim Rohn marketer, most members make little money by promoting other products.

It's not true. You won't make a fortune off a $6 commission.

You can really make it big online by selling an average of $1500 per month. Check out our #1 recommendation right here.

We have to be truthful in this review.

Herbalife comes with some great information to make money online, and land big commission checks...

Network marketing is becoming a bit saturated as a business model.

You'll find the answers to the most common questions about Herbalife products and multi-level marketing in general at the end.

And, most importantly, You'll see the exact method I used to build my internet marketing business to more than $40,000 per month mostly passive income.

This system made me swear off network marketing for good because it uses some of the same skills but in a much more powerful and profitable way!

More on this later.

Let's get to the Herbalife now!

So What is Herbalife?

Herbalife is a direct-selling company. Herbalife's worldwide net sales in 2019 reached approximately 4.88 billion U.S. Dollars.

It is unlikely that you will find any of their nutritional supplements or protein shakes on the shelves at any store.

These products can only be purchased through a Herbalife distributor. Although you can find out more information about the products and see the prices, you cannot buy them.

Distributors will love this, it's obvious.

Herbalife has a large network of over 3.7 million members in more than 90 countries.

How does Herbalife work?

You'll be able to buy bulk Herbalife products as a distributor or member. You can then sell or use them.

Or do both.

If you don't know someone, you can search for a distributor through their website.

How do you make money?

Here's the fun part.

They pay on the basis of a multi-level marketing model.

What does all this really mean?

It means that you can get compensation for more than just selling Herbalife products. Bonuses can be earned from new members you recruit, and those that your recruits refer. These are some of the benefits:

To make any kind of income, you will need to sell a lot of Herbalife protein drinks. You must also remember to purchase the products before you can sell them.

That is the problem.

You are limited in how much money you can buy.

It's not enough.

It is possible to buy too many products and not be able to sell them.

You have twelve months to return products you have not opened within 12 months of the purchase date.

What is their compensation plan?

Check out the image below.

These products aren't well-sold by distributors. The more products you sell, the more money you will make.

Once you have reached a certain volume point, you can move up to the next level. You'll earn a higher commission from your downline but your retail commission does not change.

Volume points are earned when the products of your downline order. Volume points are earned by placing more orders or referring downline customers.

This will allow you to reach the next level.

What is that?

You claim that you don't like selling to family members, friends, or strangers.

That might be uncomfortable?

You might find our number one recommendation more in line with your personal goals!

What are Herbalife Products?

Herbalife Nutrition offers weight loss and protein shakes. You can also find protein bars, teas, and aloes as well as vitamins and sports hydration, and energy products.

The product is claimed to transform lives.

The products that target your cognitive weaknesses are said to achieve this.

Herbalife is open to discussion about these cognitive weaknesses.

Herbalife encourages the creation of "nutrition clubs" by encouraging social gatherings. These gatherings allow members to try the shakes and talk about healthy lifestyles.

These gatherings can be a great way to grow your business, by showing off the product and generating sales.

Herbalife claims these nutrition clubs can help people who wouldn't normally eat at a vending machine or eat fast food. They help them make healthy choices and provide positive reinforcement.

Are Herbalife products too expensive?

That one is still up for debate.

Are Herbalife products effective in losing weight?

Herbalife meal replacement shakes do help you lose weight.

They are however no different from the many meal replacement shakes available today.

Feeling fuller for longer will reduce your calories.

These healthy shakes can be used to replace one or more meals

Herbalife's weight loss products are still under investigation. It claims that it can prevent weight gain for several years.

Is Herbalife Legit?

MLMs such as Herbalife are frequently the subject of heated debate. Some MLM's are more scammy than others.

Others insist it is a pyramid scheme.

What is Herbalife, you ask?

It is difficult to determine if Herbalife is legit or a scam.

Let's take a look at the drama Herbalife has been involved in over the years.

David Einhorn, a hedge-fund manager, asked Des Walsh, Herbalife president, how many sales were made outside of the company's network in 2012. This is what Mr. Walsh replied to.

"We don’t track this number, and we don’t believe it to be relevant."

David Einhorn, as you can imagine was furious. Bill Ackman, the head of Pershing Square's hedge fund, made a $1 billion bet against Herbalife shortly afterward. In 2012, he reduced its stock.

Michael Johnson, Herbalife CEO decided to fight back. Johnson called Ackman's statements misleading and false.

Carl Icahn then jumped in to call Ackman an a-liar, and that his claims were total bullshit.

The worst was March when a front-page article in The New York Times revealed the truth. This story revealed the truth about Ackman.

Ackman was lobbying public officials and had even donated funds to anti-Herbalife advocacy organizations. Herbalife officials claimed that this was a fabrication, and then they publicly admitted two days later that they were under investigation by the Federal Trade Commission.

Ackman even stated that he believes Herbalife to be a global pyramid scheme. It's a criminal enterprise.

John DeSimone (Herbalife's chief financial officers) responded to the statement by saying that he was 100 percent certain Bill Ackman was wrong. He has stepped outside the legal role of short sellers and crossed an ethical line.

In 2016, Herbalife was forced by the US to pay $200 million dollars for 'unfair or deceptive practices. After a two-year investigation, this was the result.

But it doesn't end there.

Why is Herbalife so bad?

Herbalife has existed for almost two decades. They have been the subject of many of the following: a scam, a pyramid scheme, and trouble with the FTC. The FTC also paid millions to restructure its United States operations.

Edith Ramirez, FTC Chairwoman has stated that Herbalife made people believe they were making a big deal out of nutritional supplements.

Today Carl Ichan will sell all his Herbalife stock back to them for $600 million.

After the fight he had with Bill Ackman years ago, why would he do that again?

Who is Bill Ackman?

Bill Ackman, the head of Pershing Square hedge fund played a controversial part in many of Herbalife’s exposures to potential misleadings.

Ackman and Herbalife fought for 2 years.

The whole thing began with Ackman wagering $1 billion dollars that Herbalife's stock price would crash. He also discussed how Herbalife didn't offer its members any real opportunity to make money.

This was the beginning to expose how Herbalife deceived its customers.

Herbalife claimed Ackman said these statements because Perishing Square investors would benefit from Herbalife’s Wall Street collapses.

Why is Herbalife banned in the USA?

Herbalife was forced to "fundamentally reform" its business as part of a 2016 settlement reached with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. This followed allegations that it was a pyramid scheme. Ackman's hedge fund closed its short position in Herbalife in November 2017.

In 2002, several U.S. states had banned the use of herbal supplements containing ephedrine. Herbalife's products were also affected by this change. Herbalife settled with the FTC in July 2016 by agreeing to change its business model and paying $200 million to its distributors.

Is Herbalife an MLM?

Herbalife is an MLM but they were for many years considered a pyramid by the FTC. A few individuals have also been at the center of much controversy.

Herbalife, like most MLMs, is designed to make money from signing up people.

Herbalife is a fraud because of how they present their company and the promises they make. It also limits the amount of money that you can make by becoming a distributor.

Selling their products won't earn you a living wage, or at least nothing that is worthwhile. It is a well-known fact that MLMs are either unprofitable or break even for 99% of those who join them.

Take a look at Sharon Shea's comments as a former Herbalife distributor.

Selling product doesn't make you rich. You only make a small amount. It's not much. It's not enough to pay all the bills. Signing up people makes you money.

Members are encouraged to encourage their friends to become distributors. However, eventually, your efforts will end and no one will be left.

The compensation plan is not designed to make you rich, but to keep your members buying their products and staying motivated.

They keep making money, but they lose more.

Why Is A Pyramid Scheme Illegal?

Pyramids were created for early investors who want to make money. However, they only last for a very short time before going out of business.

They're not designed to fail. They will make you believe that something is going to dry up.

These are not only a wasteful use of your time but also a huge waste of money.

They prey on your dreams and hopes of becoming rich.

Many MLM companies borderline do the exact same thing.

Is Herbalife A Pyramid Scheme?

Herbalife isn't a pyramid scheme. They were able to avoid this label in 2016 after reaching a $200 million settlement with the FTC. Their product sales have increased to almost $5 billion in 2018, and they have not lost any of their previous settlements with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). Despite this, there are still issues with the company.

John Oliver attempted to expose Herbalife's Pyramid Scheme.

This "MLM" company claims that its business model is to make money from the people who join and then commissions from their sales.

Was he right?

You can see the motivation structure of Herbalife.

MLM companies can be very clever at concealing the fact they are not a good business.

You believe they are worthy because they have big names backing them. They are disguised as who they truly are.

Herbalife has been declared an illegal scheme by the Commercial Court in Brussels, Belgium. This was due to Herbalife's failure to demonstrate its retail customer base.

It is easy to identify most pyramid cases. These cases are often structured in a chain-letter-like fashion. In order to make money with your downstream recruits, they ask that new recruits pay cash upfront.

This is manipulative and contrary to the law.

Most multi-level marketing agencies require upfront payments for products.

If they aren't a scam, you would be compensated for independent sales. These retail sales would also be tracked.

There are many gray areas in determining whether an MLM is a pyramid scheme or an MLM. Because these areas are not easily identified, fraud can often be hidden within established businesses. They don't cease to exist and continue to commit fraud while remaining in business.

People have attempted to argue that Herbalife's structure is exactly that. They have been in business for almost 40 years.

They have adapted, but not changed much.

However, they had to alter the structure of how they paid their salespeople after 2014.

Some Herbalife recruits have received misleading promotional materials from top distributors in their past. Video of Doran Andry, a member. He is seen driving a red Ferrari. He discusses how Herbalife products are bringing him close to $100K per month.

This was an incredible embellishment.

After the viral video began, Herbalife revealed its financial information. It was later proven that this video was a fabrication.

According to the company, only 704 U.S. citizens earned more than $100,000 a year in 2013.

It's not a month.

It is true that most MLM distributors earn less than $100.

Let's not forget member expenses.

Yes, you must purchase products in order to stay active.

The nutrition club is the most important part of Herbalife.

The club is expensive, but the goal is to recruit.

However, that is not the way they market it.

They are intended to recruit distributors with low incomes.

These Herbalife recruiting opportunities are available all around the globe. Herbalife reported that these clubs have seen a significant increase in sales.

Third-party investigators believed they were drug laundering in Mexico or Venezuela in 2013. These claims never came true.

Is there a lawsuit against Herbalife

Many lawsuits have been filed against them. Their most recent lawsuit was this year.

Just when you thought everything was looking up.

They bribed Chinese officials again for the third time in just four years.

It cost them $123 Million to settle the charges with the United States government.

This settlement and indictment came one year after Herbalife had to pay $20 million to the SEC for misleading investors about its China business model.

This was after Rich Goudis, CEO of Herbalife, revealed an audio recording in which he advised an employee not to exceed China's expense account limits.

These are only a few of the most recent lawsuits.

Pros & Cons For Herbalife

The Good

These meal replacement shakes can be made in a matter of minutes.

The Herbalife diet was created for busy people who don't have time to worry about dinner.

The shake is quick and simple to make. To make a smoothie, simply mix 2 tablespoons of powder with 8 ounces of nonfat milk.

Soy-based shakes might be good for your heart

Most Herbalife meal substitute shakes contain soy protein isolate.

However, this does not limit the number of people who can take this product.

Research shows that 50g of soy protein per week can lower your cholesterol and decrease your risk of developing heart disease.

You will get 18 grams of protein if you drink two Herbalife meal substitute shakes per day.

You can find a soy-free and dairy-free recipe

Many people are allergic to soy. Herbalife has a dairy-free and soy-free option.

These shakes contain pea, rice, and sesame protein. They are also free from GMOs.

The Bad

There is no way to make real money

The company has had to go through multiple problems because it promises big but is unable to keep them. No matter how many salespeople you have, the only way to make a decent living is by recruiting.

We suggest that you find a job elsewhere if you are looking for a steady stream of income without the need to recruit.

These shakes may not be the best choice for you if you are looking for something healthy.

The Herbalife meal substitute shakes are high in processed ingredients.

Look at these ingredients: sugars, gums, and protein isolates.

This is an unhealthy choice because of the sugar content. You'll get 18 grams of sugar in two Herbalife shakes.

Healthy eating means consuming less processed food and more healthy fats.

Could make you hungry

Herbalife shakes can be marketed as meal substitutes. They lack the calories necessary to be considered a meal.

You'll feel hungry all day.

To increase your calorie, fiber, and protein intake, you can add fruits and other fats to make it more satisfying.

It can get expensive

Herbalife is not cheap. For 30 servings of Herbalife meal substitute mix, you'll need to pay $40

They also recommended two shakes per day.

You'll need two containers, which will cost you $80 per month for the shakes.

These are not the supplements they want you to take.

This is because you will save money on groceries by replacing your meals with it.

How much do you actually save if you have to buy additional items to keep you full?

Liver damage is believed to be caused by herbal supplements

Many supplements have a lot of ingredients that aren’t regulated by the government.

The effectiveness and quality of the product are therefore unknown.

A number of reports have suggested that liver damage may have been caused by Herbalife Supplements.

Some Herbalife products may have overgrowths of bacteria B. subtilis.

It is also known to cause liver damage.

These ingredients are not only found in Herbalife, but also in other supplements. These ingredients can be found in many other over-the-counter medicines and supplements.

Conclusion

Herbalife MLM Company Borderlines is a fraud. Their primary goal is to convince distributors to continue buying products and recruit new employees.

In its 40-year history, this company has been involved in some unsavory activities.

Although they look like MLMs, they are not MLMs. They work in the gray zone where it is difficult to categorize them.

However, the majority of Herbalife members, distributors, and organizations are against it.

Despite giving Herbalife the benefit of the doubt for past errors, and being forced into changing the way they phrase their promises this year, they still got in trouble with the FTC.

There are many MLM's available, as well as business opportunities that can provide you with the freedom and income you seek.

You might even find the opportunity to be more in line with your personal goals.

Steady Calls is the #1 Recommended Online Business Model For 2022

Our review team discovered a program that is top-notch in the real estate industry!

It's digital, but not real estate.

Yup, Digital Real Estate!

Multi-Level Marketing falls short in scalability.

You have a limited amount of time and you only have so many people to reach.

MLM companies understand this! MLM companies know this and will push you to recruit others for your downline. You won't make it big as a one-man/woman show.

What if you could make more money from your local websites? Without spending hundreds of dollars on expensive products or spending a lot of time recruiting people who will sell under your brand?

This digital property program will allow you to make a recurring monthly income with no sales to friends or constant recruiting!

Does it sound too good to be true It does, of course! It isn't, in fact, many business owners wish they had this skill.

You can simply build and rank a local website, and then forward the jobs to a business owner.

This applies to any service-based business such as tree service, plumbing, or towing.

What are the best ways to get paid?

It's simple, once you have sent the jobs to a business owner, he makes some money from them, you just ask for mutual benefit.

Based on the industry, a fair price per lead is between 10-20 %... let's take the tree service industry as an example and use the worst-case scenario.

Let's suppose you rank the site, and that only 10 jobs per month are received. Tree service jobs can range from $500 to $2000.

This means that you should have at least $500 per month in assets!

It's digital real estate, which is why they call it now. This is a rent payment.

It is easy to scale. There are no worries about:

  • Your upline getting paid before you
  • Encourage your family and friends to purchase from you
  • Every day, recruiting people

You only get what you can afford if your monthly quota is met.

You can actually get huge FLAT RATE DEALS by taking the course that we recommend. This is truly passive income!

This training program will take making money online to another level. You will be guided by the owner of the program, who will also share his screen and occasionally speak to you.

Learn the importance of keywords and website names, how to send calls notifications via email, backlinking, and other details.

After the training program is complete, you will have access to a Facebook Group that we think is better than the HerbaLife group. This group is more active.

Contrary to MLMs where you only get $10 per sale you could be earning 10-20X that.

Businesses will always need more leads and more jobs. It doesn't matter if the job isn’t coming from their website. They see it as it is...expanding their digital real estate.

Herbalife has seen more people leave their 9-5 jobs than.

You can have passive income from digital real estate, but most of your time will be spent with your friends and not selling to them.

You probably have a lot of questions.

So, check this out to learn more.
