LimeLife MLM: Was the FTC Right to Say It's a Pyramid Scheme?
What is LimeLife MLM?
This is another MLM (aka Network Marketing or Pyramid Scheme) program whose primary purpose it to sign you up, purchase a product package, then get your friends, family and coworkers to do the exact same thing.
It's true, it's promoted almost by every high-ranking MLM member who gets paid only through their affiliate links. Yes, that's right...
It's called sellouts.
Although it claims to teach you how to be a "Network Marketer", most members make very little money by promoting their products.
It's not true. You won't make a fortune from a 30% commission on a high-priced multi-vitamin or skin cream.
is our #1 recommendation for online success. It averages $1,500 per month.
We have to be truthful in this review
LimeLife offers some useful information that can help you make money online, and get decent commission checks.
It's still valid, however!
You'll find answers to some of the most common questions about LifeLife and network marketing.
Network Marketing is a system that I swear by. It uses the same skills, but it's more powerful and lucrative.
More on this later...
Let's get to LimeLife for now!
LimeLife Review
LimeLife, a multi-level marketing firm that offers a business opportunity to sell skin care and cosmetic products, is one example of a multi-level marketing company.
My LimeLife review will discuss its structure, product lines, and, most importantly, whether this MLM company is legitimate or a pyramid scheme as the majority of MLMs.
We will be reviewing multiple aspects of LimeLife in order to determine if it is truly the best network marketing platform.
We will also discuss whether network marketing is the best online business model.
LimeLife by Alcone MLM Overview
Name: LimeLife by Alcone
Owners: L'Occitane en Provence; Michele Gay & Madison Mallardi
Joining costs: $169 for the Starter Kit (one time payment); $9.95 per Month for your replicated website; $75 annually renewal fee
Official Website: limelifebyalcone.com
What is LimeLife by Alcone?
It was originally called LimeLight by Alcone.
Since 1952, it has been an MLM company in cosmetics and skincare.
This is almost 70 years.
LimeLife has been around for longer than Rock & Roll, but does that make it trustworthy?
LimeLife was a cosmetics company that offered products to the entertainment industry in its early days.
It has grown, renamed, reorganized, and added new products to its product line since then. It is now known as LimeLife by Alcone.
Although the brand is relatively new, it is still the same company. The company has been through multiple rebrandings, the most recent being in 2018.
I am just curious as to why they had to rebrand multiple time. Rebranding is often necessary because existing branding isn't appealing to customers.
This is to avoid negative press about people being scammed.
Hmmm?
Are LimeLife's products worth the price?
The product costs vary between $20 and $150.
LimeLife by Alcone claims that their skincare and cosmetic products contain only natural and organic ingredients and are free of harmful additives or chemicals.
This claim is not true, as I have read a lot of complaints and questions about it.
LimeLife products seem a bit expensive to me. Due to the commissions paid to MLM downlines, they are likely to be overpriced.
The LimeLife MLM Business Opportunity
LimeLife by Alcone is a network marketing company that offers two ways to make money.
The first is that LimeLife by Alcone members become a "Beauty Guide", who sells their products and recruits others to join the MLM.
The second is when you invite others to do the exact same.
Do you sound familiar?
To market the products, you would need a starter kit as a "Beauty Guide". There are two levels of starter kits, which I will explain in the next section.
You will need to complete their registration form online in order to sign up.
What is the cost to join LimeLife?
Two starter kits are available from LimeLife by Alcone:
- The Business Starter Kit, one version starting at $99.
- Silver Business Starter Kit with 4 variants starting at $169 This starter kit offers four options.
Below are some screenshots of these starter kits. One would be required to use LimeLife's beauty guide.
If you have the funds, you can either choose the Business Starter Kit (for $169) or the Silver Business Starter Kit ($169). This will allow you to purchase the first year of your business. The best thing about the silver kit? You can choose from four variations.
You'll find on their website that you will need to purchase a starter kit first before you can proceed to the registration form.
Let's now see how much it will cost us for the first year.
- Business Starter Kit @ $99 + 12 month website fees @ $119.40 The total cost for the basic business starter kit is $218.40.
- Silver Business Starter Kit @ $169 + 12 Months Website Fees @ $119.40 This will give you a total cost $288.40 when you use the Silver business starter kits for your first year.
The fees are not that expensive, but they do seem to be.
I am not concerned about the fees but the "cost” of being a beauty consultant in this MLM scheme.
You would need to organize "home parties", which can be expensive. Your closest friends and family are your best prospects for these home parties. It can lead to fallingouts, which is not good.
This arrangement is not the only thing. As with all MLMs, you will likely get follow-up calls from your upline, which can be very pushy and pressurizing.
Some stories I have heard go so far as to tell them "Stop being lazy."
These and many other reasons are why most beauty guides abandon or cancel the program.
LimeLife by Alcone's Basic Business Starter Kit Edition @ $99
The Business Starter Kit costs $99 and includes the following items
"Silver Business Starter Kit- Light" edition @ $169
"Silver Business Starter Kit- Medium" edition @ $169
LimeLife by Alcone's Silver Business Starter Kit- dark edition @ $169
LimeLife by Alcone's Silver Business Starter Kit- deep edition costs $169
Each Silver Business Starter Kit costs $169 and includes the following items:
These are the options available to you for starting as a LimeLife beauty guide.
LimeLife: Can you really make money?
Yes, you can...
Many people have difficulty with MLM.
Check out the Top Five Reasons Network Marketers Fail.
Now, don't get me wrong...
MLM can make you money, but you need to be willing to put in the work (which isn't always easy), in order for you to earn real money while you learn the ropes.
This program helped me skyrocket my online company to $40,000+ per monthly It is so easy that making money becomes second nature.
LimeLife MLM offers you the chance to earn up to 35% commissions if you join.
This is not something you will be able to do immediately. To understand what I mean, you will need to look at their compensation plan.
If you choose to lead a team, you will also receive a percentage of the overall sales.
View their compensation plan PDF to see how much you could make from every sale.
Here are 9 ways that a LimeLife beauty guide by Alcone can be compensated.
- Base Commission
- Fast Start Incentive
- Enhanced Commission
- Direct Enroller Bonus
- Certified Mentor Bonus
- Leadership Bonus
- Leader Generation Bonus
- Executive Bonuses

You can choose to become a full-time or part-time beauty guide. Here's a quick overview of how to get started.
- First, decide what starter kit you want. You can choose between the $99-Business Starter Kit and the Silver Business Starter Kit, which offers 4 options for $169. The Silver Kit lets you choose from four different shades: Dark, Medium, Dark, and Deep. Both kits come with helpful resources that will help you get started.
- Next, fill out your online registration form. This is where you'll set up your replica website.
- Third, you must agree to their rules and regulations.
LimeLife by Alcone Red Flags
Lack of transparency is easily the first red flag . If you are a leader of a team, they won't reveal how much income you could earn.
MLM is not something I like and I am not willing to spend my hard-earned cash for it.
LimeLife's second flag is the "replicated" website.
Just a thought.
How can you get traffic to your site?
SEO is going to be terrible, I can assure you.
Do you need to blog in order to generate traffic?
Perhaps you could use social media?
You could also pay for PPC ads
LimeLife MLM Complaints
There have been many concerns about Beauty Guides' MLM business model and the products they sell.
LimeLife MLM Scheme does not offer refunds to people who cancel.
There have been many complaints about guides trying to withdraw prior to the next billing cycle only to be charged for several months later.
Limelife's usual excuse?
It is the contract signed by members when they join. There are many other reasons, despite the fact that many of their beauty experts have canceled.
LimeLife continues billing them month after month despite the many cancellation requests they receive from their beauty guides. If you ask me, that is outright sneaky.
Below are screenshots of complaints about LimeLife by Alcone that were found in Better Business Bureau.
The MLM scheme is the subject of the above complaints. However, the below complaint is about the products. It is from a woman who may need to visit a dermatologist after she has used their cosmetics.
These are just some of the complaints that LimeLife by Alcone has received. Unfortunately, you can find many more on the Better Business Bureau website.
Pros Of LimeLife MLM
Cons Of LimeLife MLM
Is LimeLife A Pyramid Scheme Or A Scam?
LimeLife by Alcone, which was founded in 1952, is not a fraud. It is a legitimate MLM company.
Multi-level marketing companies tend to carry product lines that are excellent, sometimes even exceptional.
This is not enough to convince you to join an MLM.
Ponzi Schemes or pyramid schemes involve recruiting to make money. To make a substantial income, you will need to recruit downlines to help you build your team.
You can build a successful, profitable network marketing business. But, there are other ways to build a company than Network Marketing or MLM.
It is unlike network marketing in that it provides actual proof of success from people who have been there just a few days before.
The same applies to each recruit you bring into the downline.
Recruitment is the best way for MLM businesses to succeed - and make substantial profit.
You can't call any MLM company a fraud or scam. That could land you in serious trouble if they decide to sue.
Let me say it again - LimeLife by Alcone and any MLM company I do not recommend.
It's not an easy job. If you don't want to do it, your money and time will be wasted.
It is difficult to imagine how many people would feel under the pressure of building a downline. Not every prospect can be a great salesperson. It won't be easy for them to become a salesperson, even if they try.
Recruitment is one thing. Maintaining a monthly sales target is another.
Imagine if you could get people to buy your products to reach the minimum $300 sales goal. To make sales, some beauty magazines would send out spam to potential customers.
Imagine being forced to ask people to buy from your company just to meet your needs.
Don't let me get in my way, LimeLife is a great opportunity. It is best to do your research before you join any money-making online business opportunity. This is what you are doing now.
There are many other business models that could make you money. You should research these options before you make any decisions.
Steady Calls is the #1 Recommendation for Making Money Online in 2021
Our review team discovered a program that is top-notch in the real estate industry!
It's digital, but not real estate.
LimeLife's inability to scale is where it falls short when it comes to helping you make money online.
You have a limited amount of time and you only have so many people to reach.
MLM companies are aware of this fact!
They will push you to recruit for your team...it's not a one-man/woman show.
What if you could make more money from your local websites? Without spending hundreds of dollars on expensive products or spending a lot of time recruiting people who will sell under your brand?
This digital real estate program will allow you to make a recurring monthly income, even if you don't sell as often to your friends or recruit!
Does it sound too good to be true
It does, of course!
It's not, however. In fact, many business owners wish that they had this skill.
You can simply build and rank a local website, and then forward the jobs to a business owner.
This applies to any service-based business such as tree service, plumbing, or towing.
What are the best ways to get paid?
It's simple, once you have sent the jobs to a business owner, he makes some money from them, you just ask for mutual benefit.
Based on the industry, a fair price per lead is between 10-20 %... let's take the tree service industry as an example and use the worst-case scenario.
Let's suppose you rank the site, and that only 10 jobs per month are received. Tree service jobs can range from $500 to $2000.
This means that you should have at least $500 per month in assets!
It's digital real estate, which is why they call it now. This is a rent payment.
It is easy to scale. There are no worries about:
LimeLife is a case in point. You can only receive what you need if your monthly quota is met.
You can actually get huge FLAT RATE DEALS by taking the course that we recommend. This is truly passive income!
This training program will take making money online to another level. You will be guided by the owner of the program, who will also share his screen and occasionally speak to you.
Learn the importance of keywords and website names, how to send calls notifications via email, backlinking, and other details.
After the training program is complete, you will have access to a Facebook Group that we think is better than the LimeLife one. This group is more active.
LimeLife is a site where you only get $10 per sale. You could be receiving 10-20X that.
Businesses will always need more leads and new jobs. It doesn't matter if the job isn’t coming from their website. They see it as it is...expanding their digital real estate.
LimeLife is different in that more people can walk away from 9-5 jobs.
You can have passive income from digital real estate, but most of your time will be spent with your friends and not selling to them.
You probably have a lot of questions.
