Sunrider refers its consultants/ distributors as independent business owners (IBOs). Sunrider's business opportunities are very expensive.
An IBO requires you to purchase a Starter Pack ($120), and then renew each year for $120. Sunrider claims that this is the industry standard. This isn't a standard practice in MLM. I have done a lot of research.
You will be granted access to Sunrider University and Business Center upon renewal. IBOs receive 10% off retail prices
Preferred customers
Instead of being an Independent Business Owner, you can become a Preferred customer. You can become a Preferred customer by paying $30 annually. This allows you to receive 5% off your retail price.
You can earn 10% off your retail prices each month, which translates to $200 worth of products each month!
Commission Scheme
Sunrider's commission structure is complex and hard to understand, just like many MLMs. There are different rewards and bonuses available depending on your rank, as well as different payout percentages.
This strategy involves recruiting as many people possible and convincing recruits to do so as well.
To begin earning Unilevel commissions, you must have a Star rank. This is not possible for IBOs.
You must be able to consistently achieve sales goals for your group depending on the tier you're in.
This is a people-based business. Your success depends heavily on the motivation of others.

I looked for protein powders and slimming teas at iHerb. They also have appetite suppressants pills. Every product on iHerb will be cheaper!
They also contain more servings than Sunrider's, making them a better choice to buy and eat regularly.
It is Recruitment-focused.
Sunrider's income disclosure reveals that 1.45% of people make more than $1000 per year. Only 42% of active distributors make $177.35 per month. If you add the $200 commitment, that's $271.80 per year.
Like any MLM company, you won't make any significant income if your "co-workers" or downline fail to recruit.
If you are looking for something more sustainable, I believe you should consider other options.
Is it a Scam?
